Overview of This Website
Christina Lake, British Columbia, is a wonderful rural community located around the warmest tree-lined lake in Canada.
Currently, the governance of Christina Lake is through the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary, with a board of directors consisting of 13 directors, of whom only one represents our community.
Who we are?
We are homeowners and full-time residents in Christina Lake. We each operate a small home based business. With a very strong business background along with drawing on resouurces within the legal and financial fields.
Why develop this website?
Not many people can read through bylaws and fully understand the impact not only on their Christina Lake property or how it will effect how Christina Lake will thrive into the future. This website has been created to not only allow everyone to easily understand each bylaw in straight forward explanation and even examples on the impact this bylaw will make. As well, this website will serve to poll residents so that they can tell us why is important to them. Results of the poll are shown live and do require residents to confirm they are a property owner within Christina Lake.
What is Next?
Power is in not only viewing this website but participation in numbers. These proprposed bylaws are being proposed for implemenation by the direxctors or the RDKB, one of which resides within our wonderful community and whom is fully supporting these proposed bylaws. We as a community need to take a firm stand to tell the RDKB that while bylaws are importantm hindering both the residents and businesses within Christina Lake will not be tollerated by the voting and taxpayers residents of Christina Lake.
